FFS I just posted a reply to @dorianlynskey.bsky.social in which I made a joke about the inherent antisemitism of more or less every conspiracy nut - and got piled on by idiots who thought I was making an actual antisemitic comment. People, I literally fight antisemitism for a living. Read my bio.

👕 When you find yourself at a festival headlined by Kneecap 😬. I was curious how many people there would even know what Hebrew looks like, let alone be able to read it.

Final tally:
1 fist-bump 👊
1 request to be interviewed by a journalist
0 other engagement of any kind, whatsoever.

And since I'm in a sweary mood, here's my new t-shirt, ordered just for the occasion. 6/

So regardless of what goes on today, the festival probably won't be back in Brockwell Park next year anyway. But I would at least like to believe that Kneecap and the festival organisers will learn some sort of hard lesson from this, eg. that free speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. 5/

I also wrote to various folks in Lambeth Council to ask what their policy was in terms of council property (Brockwell Park) being used for the promotion of proscribed terrorist organisations and also about any measures in place to ensure the safety of Jewish festival-goers. They replied... 3/

They announced "after positive discussions with key stakeholders" that Kneecap would go ahead as the Headliner. So I wrote them again to ask, just, you know, out of curiosity... which Jewish stakeholders they included in their discussions. Again, no reply. 2/

A very happy Easter to all — and I do mean all — who celebrate.

For any Greenpeace donors (🙋🏻‍♂️) who wish to make a formal complaint, here is the @greenpeaceuk.bsky.social governing document, as registered with the UK Charity Commission. It is a violation of the law for a charity to deviate from its governing document. (cc: @jewishnews.bsky.social)

Shabbat Shalom everyone, and especially to all the Americans, Israelis and Gazans fighting the good fight against their sh*tty leaders… and also to Canadians, just for being you.

My new year's resolution (w/ @jenblue190.bsky.social) is to observe 'Social Media Shabbat', ie. staying off this place each week from Friday night to Saturday night. Obviously certain platforms are helping to make sure that this doesn't actually require much will power. With that... Shabbat Shalom!

Happy Chanukah from London! (First outing for our new menorah from the shop at the Jewish Museum Prague.)

I am both happy and sad to have my suspicions simultaneously confirmed and disproved that our national broadcaster is biased for and also against Israel.

Does “better than it sounds” mean something different than I think it does?

What should be our new year's resolutions for the Holocaust remembrance sector? I'll start: Time to break this habit 👇.

Last week I visited the exhibition "The Third Generation. The Holocaust in Family Memory" @ Jewish Museum Vienna, with 10 British 3rd gen Jewish refugees, each w/ Austrian heritage. It was a powerful confluence of people, place, topic & moment. Highly recommend seeing.

I was asked to read the Prayer for the State of Israel at a bat mitzvah today. The family chose an ‘alternative’ version, and honestly I feel like this is really good. Totally nails where many of us are at right now. 🇮🇱
