Yup, this is an Asian lady beetle and it’s more likely to bite than our native ladybugs. But it’s unlikely to hurt beyond a small pinch, and maybe a little irritation.

Aren’t they though? I have a ton of out-of-focus baby spider pics on my phone now, lol. I feel bad because we lost quite a few, since I had no idea what was happening or what to do when they showed up…but we’ve managed to rescue some and send them on their way. 🩷

It’s quickly become my new favorite!

Also, there was some nice foliage in the parking lot of the store where I purchased said toilet seat.

Twice in the last few weeks we’ve had people comment while we’re out & about: “you two seem to really enjoy each other’s company. That’s so nice!” I mean, yeah, thanks, but also…what’re the rest of y’all doing that makes us so noticeable?

Same! I really want some strong dark tea, but I’m having to stick to mild greens at the moment. Maybe a lot of people’s systems are dysregulated because of, well, everything.

Also, I can confirm: $$ is truly the best donation. They use a lot of it to buy fresh fruits/veg/dairy at wholesale/discount prices. Super important for keeping folks not just fed, but healthy! (Time is the other great donation, but I know a lot of us have even less of that than $ these days.)
