Singer, artist, writer. A tea drinkin', cat pettin', fascism fightin' nerd in the PNW. She/They.
Sitting down to a relaxing cup of @fridaytea.com’s Harvest Spice; have been joined by this little bug friend. On the one hand: yay, cute bug! On the other hand, I’ve been reading @tkingfisher.com’s A House with Good Bones…and, well, iykyk.

One last little baby spider just showed up the arm of the couch, like it was asking me where its siblings went. Now settled outside on a leaf. 🥹

Giving the last of the baby jumping spiders a drink before they’re released in the wild. Luckily it’s still unusually mild outside.

Go out there and make mama proud, little spoods! 🥹🩷

Sometimes Tea Time isn’t gorgeous. Sometimes it’s on your dirty kitchen counter, in front of the microwave, next to a splatter of last night’s butternut squash soup. But it still feeds the soul.

Take care & drink tea, friends!

(Tea is @white2tea.bsky.social’s Blood Moon. ❤️)

Also, there was some nice foliage in the parking lot of the store where I purchased said toilet seat.

Me after figuring out how to install the new toilet seat.

OMG you guys a jumping spider had babies in my window and now my side table is a baby jumping spider nursery. One the one hand: LOOK AT HOW CUTE AND TINY IT IS. 🥹 On the other hand, this is starting to push the limits of my recently overcome arachnophobia.

So proud of my conservative little hometown! About 500 people lined Main Street, with tons of supportive honking and waving from passing cars. I usually head down to Vancouver or PDX for rallies/protests, so I was a little concerned what might happen out here…gives me hope!

Geeetings from War-Torn Portland! (Where there are no stores left, yet somehow I still managed to drop 300 bucks.)

Yay, it’s leaf close-up season! My walks this time of year are always like twice as long because I have to take a picture every cool looking leaf.

Took Clement the Tea Pet (and my partner D, as well) out for a nice autumn walk…ended up having a long chat w/ some neighbors we’ve only greeted in passing and discovered we’re like-minded comrades. Community building FTW!

And check out that “what’s happening/so what do I do about it” card pairing. Hoo boy.

Brewing up some unsmoked Lapsang from @fridaytea.com, because I need some beauty and joy in the face of all the *incoherent omg-what-is-happening noises*

It’s like the tea version of a comforting bowl of steaming ramen on a cold day. 🩷

My can of fizzy water left me a smiley face. Sometimes you just gotta make the most of what goofy little joys you can find.

Yay, a proper cool fall rain! Which means a hundred middling photos of one of my favorite subjects: raindrops on plants.
September 29, 2025 at 10:00 PM
(And the reason I missed tea festival, besides this cold, is because I had rehearsal…where I made this little bug friend and then learned some facts about the Western Conifer Seed Bug.)

Sad to miss NW Tea Festival this weekend, but probably for the best since I have that Post-Cold Cough and I feel like a public menace. 😅

Celebrating a return to tea with my very favorite Yan Hong from @white2tea.bsky.social!

Been down for the count all week with a cold…last one was pre-Covid and I forgot how miserable a plain ol’ cold is. (Will kinda miss the nightly dreams from the NyQuil Cinematic Universe, however.)

Trying Golden Flowers Heicha for the first time. Got this sample from @fridaytea.com (& recommended by fellow sensitive-gut friends).

What a fascinating tea! I can definitely taste the mushroom umami funk, but also…like a creamy sweetness? Almost like creme brûlée. Beautiful tea for fall!

This nice orb spider is currently putting on a show for us by building a web right outside the (yeesh, so filthy) window.

Five years ago I would’ve been having a panic attack and shutting the shade—so shout out to cool scientists on the internet and the guy who created Lucas the Spider.
