#TeaOfTheDay: hojicha latte from Herman’s Cafe. I’m not normally a huge fan of hojicha, but I like it when cafes have expand their tea lattes beyond chai and matcha. And the roasted flavor proved very fortifying for my 30-minute walk through icy South Philly!

I keep a little mental list of cultural institutions whose names are regularly mispronounced, specifically ones where the public insists on a “normal” way. For most of them I totally understand the instinct… but you gotta listen to the staff.

#TeaOfTheDay: Wuyi Ensemble from Adagio Teas. This is one of my favorite oolongs. It’s smooth, with a mineral sort of taste and a hint of sweetness. Perfect for a cold, rainy day like today.

I’m writing an exhibit script for work rn and the paperwork says the word limit for labels is 350 for four cases… I’m rereading it over and over like “but not really though, right? 🥺 not for me?”

#TeaOfTheDay: the libra tea from Adagio, black tea with cocoa nibs, strawberry pieces, and rose petals. I slept TERRIBLY last night, so this is exactly the kind of cozy post-lunch pick-me-up I needed.

#TeaOfTheDay: Strawberry Clouds White Tea from the Spice and Tea Exchange. This one was a gift from a friend and it’s one of my favorite iced teas. I can leave it to steep in the fridge at work when I arrive, and by lunchtime I have a remarkably flavorful fruity iced tea waiting for me.

#TeaOfTheDay - milk oolong from Adagio Teas. I haven’t perfected my preparation for this one yet. I’ve made it three times and it’s been pleasant every time but always just a biiiit too watery or too astringent. Further experimentation needed…

I don’t live in New England anymore so stick season isn’t quite the same, but god this is such Noah Kahan weather rn. I’ve been listening to him basically nonstop.

Went hiking in the Wissahickon this Monday and was pretty damp and grumpy for basically the whole time but!! A deer walked very close in front of me and then I got this crappy photo so. It was worth it ig.
