It really speaks for the sheer longevity of the Tongquetai set they built for 1994 Three Kingdoms show that I can still see its silhouette in this Age of Empires 2 DLC (and like a bazillion other Chinese media since 1994)

One of my favourite campaigns from the original.

AFAIK, Nintendo also doesn't have bloated team sizes, and bank on their tribal/institutional knowledge to improve or evolve on every iteration of their franchises... rather than having to learn everything from scratch each time due to large scale hire & fire practices.

I'm much, much more nostalgic about the consoles in my childhood and early childhood years. NES, SNES and N64

It's totally fine for the art style. The texture you're using on the water itself looks a bit like a blurry texture, maybe you can find something that looks more vectorized to fit the lowpoly look of the terrain.

I have the problem that it sometimes doesn't work until I remember that the windows key lock 🔒 somehow turned itself on.

I've been calling it "tangential learning" - picked up the term a decade ago. Games can spark an interest in a topic, and players read up on their new interest in books.

When I studied history, a lot of my fellow students did so because of Civ, Age or the Total War series.

So inspiring that the video games we make have an impact outside of the medium.

That being said, can't wait to dive into Civ with the Shawnee in a few days 🙂
