As an artisan/artist, trudging through your bluesky has been quite interesting. I wanted to ask if there's some book or bibliography you could recommend on historical pigments or general methods for that period that would potentially be useful for someone not educated in conservation or chemistry?

Would an insight into that, from the perspective of an artist, and the effort of attempting to create an authentic and cohesive style based on them, be of use? Do forgive me if the question is silly or uneducated.

This sounds quite exciting really. Although I must admit there is much that ends up being confusing to me since I'm not an academic, but rather, an artist/artisan. Especially as of late, I've been trying to study and emulate the style of medieval manuscript illuminations and woodcuts.
