As someone who has worked primarily with art in my life/career I have little to no knowledge on the subject. But as this seems like a good space for medievalists I thought I'd ask. Is there a way for someone with little relevant experience and mediocre grades to get involved in medieval studies?

Work in progress. This figure on the bottom left is based on what I understand to be an apple tree(?), found in the Ortus Sanitatis (Inc.3.A.1.8[37]) (1491). The original can be found in the Cambridge University Library ( @theul.bsky.social ).
