Found them because I am obsessed. 🤔 They were along this really lovely path in Burlats, France. Looks like marking distance, but no idea who or why as the Internet is now broken. 😒

Yes. Evidently they are put in place to protect the local environment for regrowth and such, but not sure how they work long-term given the French obsession with hunting. 😢

really don't have the energy at the moment. Here are just a couple from the bunkers at Capbreton and the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in Paris. I do love how the bunkers have become another space of creativity and expression, like they have been reimagined. Apologies for the poor alt-text, no energy.

Just because I need something happy today and my books make me happy. Here is a photo of the Petit Larousse Illustré from 1905 or something to that effect complete with real ink splatters surrounded by some of my other books. 🥰

It was amazing. 40+C temps, the roads on the way melting and being sprayed. My health wasn't great, but made it there in the heat anyway and I am so glad just to be able to have been there when Wout was being Wout and to experience the rest. Also Ganna smiling as he passed. 🥰

all the rest fly by right after B Thomas was caught in front of the Welsh flag for G Thomas. Point is the caravane is massive and people go mad trying to collect the 💩 they throw as they pass by. Fascinating, impressive, but also depressing thinking of the waste. Anyway, a day I'll never forget. 🥰

Happened to be in Carcassonne in 2022 staying along the route where every vehicle related to the tour arrived [took hours] and where they left -- people even stand on the road to watch the caravane depart the city. Also made it to about 2km to watch Wout in green Jonas in yellow and ⬇️

Entire text illustrated by Fernand Léger. See next posts for links to text in French, English, and more information on the history of the poem which is fascinating.

Once again as it is the anniversary of D-Day and I have had the word « Liberté » in my head lately, this Paul Éluard poem of the same name keeps popping into my head. First published in « Poésie et Vérité », 1942. See next few posts below for the entire image and links to text in French and English.

You know you are poor, living with intense pain, and inadequate medical care when you cut up your pilates mat and yoga socks because you can't afford therapeutic shoes and it hurts too much to walk barefoot around your house. Not sure if it is a good idea or just sad. To laugh or to cry? 🤔

Honestly, what he did at the 2022 TdF right there earns him 🐐 status. Doesn't need to do anything else in his life, but has still done so much more.

Actually elle is referring to the 'marque' de Nutella. The article refers to it as 'le' later on and then there is this [see image below]. So evidently a debate in France as well. Good thing we have important subjects to debate these days. 🤣
