Thanks to the internet I don't need to wait for the evening news to learn about recent events. I can read 2,000 posts from the most deranged people on earth and make up my own mind

The Internet Is About to Get a Lot Worse
We've all watched in horror as red states have banned books in schools and libraries. We've seen teachers fired merely for reading a book about gender...

One of the best parts of the WGA deal: AI has now hit a brick wall in Hollywood, *and that includes adaptations.*

Based on the deal, AI can't be source material. So if you're a publisher, AI novels or graphic novels or whatever just became that much less appealing because *they can't be optioned.*

California should be the best state in the country, they have the resources and institutional capacity to legislate and act on the scale of nations, but they are consistently held back from greatness by their elected officials.

BREAKING: California's Senate just passed a bill to extend unemployment benefits to workers who’ve been on strike for more than two weeks.

This would cover the writers and actors picketing Hollywood studios, and thousands more.

The bill now heads to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s desk.

I’ve spent much of the last year examining car bloat, the process through which smaller vehicles are being replaced by increasingly massive SUVs and trucks.

What I’ve learned: Huge cars are terrible for society, often in ways that are hidden.
