My ancient brother still serving as a UK reservist & with highly specialised skills - oh and is more likely to compete a marathon than my kids. Being of #Finnish heritage-like to think we would come to our motherland’s defence. Ironically grandmother’s name was Lahja Saloranta -almost like the gun!

Back of Cig Pack-Wes declared abolition of NHSEngland. NO statutory regulatory impact assessment (who pick ups regulatory functions?)NO cost benefit assessment NO Equality Impact Assessment- but it’s a “Voluntary Redundancy” scheme. So if no one applies- everyone stays? @goodlawproject.bsky.social

Back of Cig Pack-Wes declared abolition of NHSEngland. NO statutory regulatory impact assessment (who pick ups regulatory functions?)NO cost benefit assessment NO Equality Impact Assessment- but it’s a “Voluntary Redundancy” scheme. So if no one applies- everyone stays? @goodlawproject.bsky.social

And how many flags went up when the SecretaryofState #WesStreeting proclaimed in the @mail the NHS England was promoting anti-Whiteness? -not sure how that fit with PublicSectorEqualityDuty to foster good relations or removal of all BME Execs on Board of NHS E & creation of all white leadership?

Never mind satire: I’m still stuck on Irony of how #Kruger son of economic migrants whose nomadic ancestry is literally crossing continents -is promoting the anti immigrant rhetoric, whilst ignoring his evangelical Christian roots tell him even child Christ was a refugee. Still respect to his mum!

Not in the 9 Protected Characteristics of the Equality Act2010 it’s ‘Sex’ & having in 90’s delivered the first national policy on Women and Equality in the Arts for England (ACE) Gender was then a social construct not same as Sex. Hence Sex Discrimination Act 1975- or did you miss that?

So guess no update of Statutory Employment Code of Practice on the Horizon? Thinking @nhsenglandceo.bsky.social ‘solved’ the issue by updating the NHS Constitution to remove Protected Characteristic “Sex”. As the biggest employer in the UK - hopefully NHS will take a human rights based approach.

#Liverpool 1919 -certainly part of my family’s oral history-didn’t deter us though! my lovely #AuntyLucyAnkrah followed other family members arriving from GoldCoast in 1922 -nearly fifty years ago I won a school prize for reciting #IfWeMustDie -still living by this mantra in #NHSEngland
Don’t worry this government has found a way to “cure” health inequalities by simply ending capture of data on ethnicity for both National Mental Health Survey on Prevalence & Morbidity & The Excess Mortality data. Sure they can work same solution on PE. Anything can look better without numbers?
