my 18-year-old has already voted three times! Once provincially, once federally and once as an American. The US ballot was a disaster and a huge accessibility barrier. The Canadian ballots are so welcoming and the voting place is so inclusive. Voting here is a joy.

is that a blanket argument against using AI altogether? Genuinely curious.

If so, I’d love your thoughts on the trade-off between people of conscience abstaining while people of no conscience take every AI advantage in building their scary vision of the world. That’s what keeps me up at night.

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.
