As the leader would set the tone of the project and then because it is an insane task for one person he hands it off to work on other aspects. Sandfall's core team of 30-40 people where the leads on the project then handed off parts to contractors to free up more time for other parts of the project.

We all know that they have dozens if not hundreds of people working on ti but we value the core of the story which comes from those two. Miyazaki is quite literally a perfect comparison where he did not draw every frame he would draw key Frames and then a team of animators would make the rest.

There are real things that you could subjectively complain about and they never do. For an example I don't agree with is that the pictos system is bloated and/or clunky. But no, its that they aren't "real indie" or 1 placeholder image that was never confirmed to be AI or its "unimaginative".

And never mind on playing its forced Co-Op I guess...

Despite me thinking more favorably about Blue Prince it time for it to drop out again for the new addition Rue Valley. I just love it so much but I can't bring myself to give it a 9 or better.

With all that said, each story in this piece of art is very real, how we all are fucked up and struggle everyday, but we can and must choose to go make breaks in our loops, those breaks are important. You will fail at times, but that make us fully human, beauty and flaws together. I loved it. 8.5/10

It art design is top notch and the music overall is good if repetitive. The performances are ok to great. I think Judy, Riley, and Fink's performances stand out to me as astounding. The end with Judy and Frank tore me apart and the idea of breaking one persons loop is the solution is just beautiful.

Some of my favorite things is they used montages so well, in Harrows best and worst the game uses so well to add weight into every major action. I do think they missed one opportunity when Harrow needs to play the piano for someone. It was a sweet moment so I can see the decision to pass on it.

but you put that in videogame form it feels like you SHOULD succeed if only you "correctly" built your Harrow. Maybe its letting them off too much but I view this game as a visual novel/graphic novel and there were choices but more small arc I can pick the order of.

so it isn't much of an issue. The second problem is very werid. If you didn't have any stats at all, I think nothing would fuctionally change. There are skill checks in the game and I failed them all. Narrartively it makes sense you play as a man who is dealing which so much that "failure" is normal

What it does right is so good that I can overlook a lot of the minor issues. To get them out of the way there are a few quailty of life issues mainly with movement, UI, and how to reset loops. Everything is just a bit slower and cumbersome then it needs to be but you're usually using he whole loop..
