Finished Jade War and I think the series at its best it is amazing but man it is SLOW to get there and there are chapters of "lets explain a lot of marginally useful info to the audience" that really kill the momentum. Its still a good high 3 to low 4 out of 5 but I see why people love it.

I am a certified 007 First Light non-believer but holy shit whoever decided to call the xbox showcase image of a car a "exclusive look" should be fired lol. But really Erosion and Tides of Annihilation are big hits from a pretty mid show. #XboxPartnerShowcase

I understand why people love the Green Bone Saga, but two books in and I can't say I love them. Like when something happens the books are 10/10 but in the down times there is a lot of unintentional talking down to the reader and over explaining, and there is lot of down time #Booksky

Do people who complain about the statement "Sandfall developed Expedition 33" because of outsourcing freak the fuck out when people say "My favorite Miyazaki or Wes Anderson Film?" Because if we are being honest its the exact same thing.

The money i missed out on.
God I wish I bet money on GTA 6 being pushed back to 2026. Rockstar hitting a date has never happened in the history of time and it will never happen. GTA 8 will be delayed no less then 3 times

I might be a future seer
Expedition 33 is already the early frontrunner for GOTY and it isn't even out yet. #XboxDeveloperDirect

A bunch of the expedition 33 hate on the internet is proof that even lefty gamer have shit opinions as well. Its not the same level as openly racists gamer takes, but every time a narrative game is popular its "people like it so it must be horrible and enjoyers should be considered subhuman."

I talked to a friend who played it and they said it was possibly the worst shooter campaign they've ever played. So it looks like I dodged a bullet.
After how much I enjoyed BLOPS 6 campaign I started 7s and the some of the cinematic animations look horrible. Like its either done by one person in one day and its a masterpiece level work but no time or its AI slop. If its made by real people its clear they had no time to clean anything up.

The least exciting award for Expedition 33 is the winning the indie award but part of me wants them to win it the most just so the most annoy people on this site who spend hours everyday using mental gymnastics to say that it isn't a indie game.

If Powerwash Simulator 2 released a 2-3 cleans every week for a couple bucks they would be billionaires.

I just finished Rue Valley and it is a really special game...well visual novel. Using a time loop and a mental health loop as two parts of a whole is genius writing and everything about that aspect of the game is near perfect. It's not perfect and I think the "Disco-like" moniker is wrong but...

Hello, not only do we not use AI we would rather cut off our own arms than do so. Demonschool is 100% human made.

A few hours in and Rue Valley could make my top 5 games this year. I wish for a few QoL stuff and less clunkly mouse and keyboard movement but the writing is just so good and understanding of what its doing. Everyone will have something they'll relate to and this game will be therapy to them.

Sony Japan State of Play thing was incredibly mid to bad. All but Marvel Tokan and Nightreign could just be a blog post.

Also more developers need to stop being cowards and drop us In Media Res.
I recently replayed Persona 4 Golden and while its a good game I always felt like it was missing the weight of Persona 3 (especially reload). Just now restarting Persona 5 Royal on PS5 and I just remember how fucking cool and special this game is.

Spent today trying out some gamepass games. BALLxPITT is one of those games that is great but really not for me. Pacific Drive feels like there is something really good but for a survival game everything feels extremely slow Voidtrain is extremely interesting but is also very basic in its resources.

This person 100% encapsulated everything I feel about Outer Worlds 2. I would just add that the decisions were all intentional and not half baked and I see how if Outer Worlds 2 is your game it would be aewsome for subsequent playthroughs

As i was writing it I was starting to think that getting one more skill point per level might be enough to solve all my issues. I'll bet there is a skill point cheat mod so I might just try that to see if its better.
Outer Worlds 2 does exactly what it wants to do and in doing so for me, makes it really hard to have a great time. Its 100% not a bad thing and I even wouldn't be surprised if its some peoples game of the year, but with limiting skills, companions being kinda mid gameplay wise, and no respecing...

Demon School, Dispatch and Outer Worlds 2 are basically the last games this year that I think will crack my top ten and to me there weren't as many GOAT or even GOTY games but if I build out a full list would be the deepest year we've had for a while.
