Start of the International Tropical Timber Organisation's 60th Council Summit in Tokyo. Will be launching the process to renegotiate its founding treaty to prepare its members to better promote sustainable forest management, protection of biodiversity, climate adaptation, trade and development.

An example of #complexsystems in #internationaldevelopment analysing twenty years of democracy and governance in six western Balkans states. Some clusters/themes predictable, but others surprisingly influential - tourism (stability indicator) and regional airports (increased connectivity).
