I would open the traces and look at the outliers. I've built rather detailed traces for our SaaS using standard java and bytebuddy for all BL and DAO methods; *some traces* would match and be sent to datadog for this period in our case. If still in doubt, I would look at the JFR runtime profiles

Well, this didn't work out in the end - some motherboard issue, first SSD was disappearing and then the ethernet port could not get up. I sent it back. I am assuming I had some bad luck & will try another minisforum machine before changing brands or just building the machine myself

It is also unbelievable how some tech like Synology DS413j just... still works (with changed drives and unsupported DSM OS version though) after more than a decade.

The home lab backbone remains, though, Ansible+Nomad (for the foreseeable future) because I made it work so well over the years.

The mini PC I chose is minisforum UM870 (Ryzen 7 8745H, 64GB DDR5, 1TB 990 Pro) & pretty happy so far
