「急にBLではないと宣言した」訳ではなくて、「ジャンルは好きに捉えて良い」と思っています。ただ、恋愛要素の少なさに対して「BLだと思っていたのに残念だ」と批判が巻き起こったことも事実です。また、恋愛的な解釈だけが正しいとしてそれ以外の読み方が否定されるのも不本意でした。
結果的に、ジャンルを定義せず性的マイノリティを描写しようと思うようになりました。
描きたいと思っているものは最初から全く変わっていないです。
