Here is my starter pack on economics, trade and markets. Like others, my selection criterion was simple: these are minds I always learn from.

I'm sure I've missed many great accounts (still looking for some of my own friends). So please do suggest any additional names.

And as if we can instantly measure all results. "The tyranny of the quantifiable," an environmentalist said to me long ago, and so much of what matters most is not quantifiable or efficient or profitable in the narrow sense, and that's kind of what all this is about. So thank you Ms Kabas.
there’s this very american idea that everything we do to fight facism must be “productive” and “results-driven” in order for it to be meaningful as if the act of calling out injustice is not worthwhile on its own.

In Finland, media education has been part of schools since the 1950s and is woven into the curriculum. Students learn about propaganda, misleading statistics, and even create their own media messages to understand how narratives shape perception.

„billionaire Mark Zuckerberg went on Joe Rogan to whine about how corporations have been “culturally neutered” and need more “masculine energy.” The idea that insufficient coddling of male aggression is the genesis of society’s woes is so ludicrious it boggles the mind.
Why are we all feeling broken?

I'm not sure what levers of regulation and practise cover the operation of Archeon, but someone needs to intervene. This is cheap, shabby and grossly wrong. Thanks to Gerrit for sharing.
Dutch Archaeological "living museum" Archeon now uses AI visuals.

In the Mesolithic we meet a bunch of corpulent half-naked Obelix-characters. White. No women.

We can debate Mesolithic people's skin colour (likely dark); they did not live life half-naked and there definitely were women.

Today’s chapter (1 &) 2 Curiosity. I still research why I want to travel and explore, especially as I don’t do it as much as I’d want to. This book is exactly what I was looking for and fuels my internal motivational discussion and decision making process. Curious about the next chapters!

I’m thinking with which labels I can present myself. Everybody does that here. I’m not sure if I want a label. It can lead to certain expectations or misunderstandings. I don’t want that. And yet, people would want to have an idea of who I am. Well, I am still undecided (on how to label myself here)
