Probably 90% of the hatred I see against AI are really people hating capitalism. AI is just an obvious target for what are largely temporary or contingent reasons.

Toggling this off simply won’t surface that app as a suggestion, useful if it’s a private/secret app or if you don’t want it to reinforce bad habits like frequently opening social media apps, shopping apps etc.

This misinterprets iOS’s function. Siri learns to suggest the app you usually open. Unlike LLMs, nothing in the app is trained on for AI. This feature long predates Apple Intelligence and modern AI, though it is machine learning. This is clickbait scaremongering.
