It really is - the way the collection is structured is subtle yet so effective at bringing out the way all the poems sit in dialogue with each other.

I did, thanks - there’s something so understatedly beautiful about it, in a way that I think is rare in contemporary poetry. Thanks for the tip on his posthumous collection - I’ll have to pick that up when it launches!

So true! People still cling to the familiar as a safety net. I do also think those critiquing it (unless they’re brand experts) need to consider whether they’re the target audience. Everyone’s now waiting to see the cars, so smart PR at least…
