The main bull case in Western markets is not Bitcoin, but the broader blockchain infrastructure. Removing settlement risk and time whilst significantly reducing the operational burden for financial services on the bookkeeping front. There are massive efficiencies to be gained here.

Yes it certainly has a place in emerging markets when there is limited access to financial services and the domestic currencies are even less stable than Bitcoin. But beyond that I don’t see it.

For now it is a liquidity proxy, if there’s some extra cash sloshing around, some will go to Bitcoin.

Simple and visible tax rises are in my opinion much more optimal.

If there is a clear case for the need for increased taxes, governments should be honest on how they will be raised and how that money will be spent.

Working people should be able to fully see what their labour costs, in order to be in the best position to negotiate working conditions.

There is a real problem around tax transparency, simplicity and clarity in the UK which is very damaging.

A lot will rest with Saudi and their approach to production cuts going forward. Will they ideally look to continue to maximise revenues? Or will they want to battle for market share?

Are there features of Mastodon that make it appealing? I think for a platform of this type, simplicity I think it key. The sophistication should come from how it tailors the feed correctly to your expectations.
