After the first big snow of the season yesterday, my rooster Wookiee Foot was lookin handsome at sunset tonight. He was pissed when i grabbed him to rub vaseline on his comb and waddle to avoid frost bite.

On this Veteran's Day, thinking of MY favorite Veteran, my amazing Grandfather Lawrence DeForest. He stormed the beach at Normandy and liberated concentration camps in WW2. Gone since 2018, I miss him today and always.

My amazing Gpa Lawrence (3rd from top right) with his squad in WWII. He would have turned 100 last year, I often wonder what he would think of his Republican Party these days.

Today was me and my fella's 22 yr wedding anniversary. When we got together i barely thought about politics, but now, livin in red MO, i am grateful to have landed with a soul so politically, emotionally and spiritually aligned. We don’t always 100% agree, but at least i know he shares my values.

i’m in KCMO and my local feed store was COMPLETELY sold out of chicks. Also i noticed they were $7-$12 a chick, where in years past it was more like $3-$5.

I see this groundhog every few days at the same spot on my way to work. On days he’s not there i still tell him “Hi” and “Have a great day!” In my mind.
