Paramount on its own doesn’t have the capital, but the CEO’s father Larry Ellison certainly does (he helped fund the Skydance merger) which could legitimately lead to a fierce bidding war.

If any company had to get Warner Bros, Apple and Amazon would be better choices. Layoffs would be inevitable, but at least they aren’t major film studios (MGM is a mini major). Apple could quickly grow its streaming service, and Amazon would too, plus getting MGM’s older library that’s at Warner.
