No, I dreamed that part up, but they ARE said to be able to recognize people if you give them apple pieces.

Mr.Grackle stops by for a seed snack and a drink. They are known to recognize people if you get out there and offer them a piece of fruit, or a snifter of brandy (he-he).

I've never seen bourbon and molasses together in a recipe. It sure does sound good!
