As Jiang Cheng ruffled the adorable tuft of fur on Peachey’s head, he called out, “I’ll take breakfast later in the private hall.” But the raps came again. Peachey yipped, and Jiang Cheng frowned. Jin Ling’s servants were normally quite sharp and knew not to disturb him when he didn’t need their services. “Jiang Cheng!” Wei Wuxian’s voice came from outside. Oh. “Jiang Cheng! It’s me. Can you… um… send your dogs away for a moment… I have a few things I want to say to you……”
