Yeah exactly, here's my Shire pipe, it's like a quarter inch of depth, but they are for sure wider bowls too.
This one has a wooden bowl and a steel shank for durability and cost.
I love it for bonfires, and discussions. They are incredibly fun to gesture with lol.

I will say the majority of the Shire type pipes come with dome screens that tend to fill the bottom third to half of the bowl.
