"We’re “valuable” based on output, productivity, and profit. Hence, if creation doesn’t quickly lead to (easily) measurable results, you dismiss your “weird” interests and curiosities as distractions."

When did it stop mattering to do something with care, and when did metrics or going viral become the only things that matter?

I keep seeing content about strategies, shortcuts, and more nonsense, and honestly, it's starting to get boring.

Enjoy the process ✨

If you use CleanMyMac but enjoy the terminal, I found Mole, and it's really nice.

It's also open source, so it's free.

In a world where everything needs to be shared (or even worse, is made in the first place to be shared), we need to protect our "jardin secret," a French term that refers to things, ideas, or activities that people keep to themselves.

It's sad that nowadays the first thing people ask you when you meet someone new is: What do you do for a living?

The most interesting people I've met have a lot of leisure time, and they use it to nurture their interests, talents and relationships.

"When a routine feels right, everything becomes easier, clearer, and more beautiful. You start noticing details, like when you rewatch a movie. You understand the gears that keep people’s lives running. And you appreciate novelty more—because it shines brighter when not everything is new."

Everything that doesn’t grow eventually dies. Focus on growing—at your own pace, without rushing. But grow, or you’ll end up dying. There are many people who are alive but "dead." They forgot to grow.

One of the worst use cases for a reading-related app. AI has to be there to accompany us in our learning (like a 24/7 mentor) not to give us the answers.

I've thought about it a lot: AI will make dumb people dumber and smart people smarter.

With this final post, I’m closing out 2024 and eagerly looking forward to 2025. I’m sharing some reflections, recommendations, and what I’ll be working on in the coming year.
Bye 2024
I’ve been summarizing my year privately for years, but I’ve never done it publicly. In previous years, my process for doing this looked like this:

One thing traveling the world has taught me is to appreciate living in a country without serious conflicts and being able to enjoy sunshine like this in a t-shirt on December 24th.

Happy holidays to everyone!

Since 2020, I’ve been conducting a yearly review. My usual approach involves scrolling through Google Photos and reflecting month by month on specific situations and how they made me feel. I conclude each review by summarizing:

- Things that went well
- Things that didn’t go well
- Lessons learned

After a few weeks of not writing, yesterday I wrote about my strategy in life.
My life strategy is pure curiosity
When you want to create something, don’t plan based on data. Do it based on your interests, because nothing withstands challenges better than something you deeply want to learn. Nothing resists the…
