A nice home-braised rack of lamb with one of my favorite people in the world. Saved the braising liquid and reduced it down, now it's a phenomenal sauce for chicken, scrambled eggs, anything you like!

Sweet potato tarte tatin with homemade harissa. I grew up in Texas having big thanksgivings with many different forms of potato, and candied yams were always my favorite, so this feels super nostalgic for me

The original A&W restaurant in Lodi, CA brews their root beer onsite from cane sugar and raw spices. It is served in a frosty mug alongside Americana classics. Honestly the crispest, most effervescent fries I've ever eaten, and zingy sauces really liven up the burgers and cheese curds. Amazing food.

@danielle.bsky.social the yoko ono / four loko collaboration was brief but beautiful, remember pulling all nighters while wired on this stuff back in art school?

disclaimer: none of this is true

Just saw Caroline Polachek at the Paramount, along with 1,000 20-year-olds singing along to every word. It reminded me of my first rock show, Arcade Fire, when I was 16. Back then it was harder to find good music and fellow fans. I'm glad it's easier now. The world always needs more magic.

Did you buy Soylent™ from a street dealer? Don't forget your test strips! If the brass turns black, you've got a bad batch. Always happy to share my shop if you don't have the right kit.
