Zeke carefully steps into the graffiti filled alleyway. The ground is speckled with trash and the remnants of artists materials. A doberman lays at Zeke’s feet as she creeps forward. A cat nimbly climbs a fence behind her. The full moon is high and the city cuts the skyline. The graffiti on the brick and concrete that surrounds her is a mess of illegible scribbling except for 4 large pieces. On the left, a teal green bull sits at the bottom and a lime green water-bearer sits atop. On the right, an bald eagle is drawn above a pink lion.

The maw is infinite. Some teeth in this maw are sharp, some are round or flat. The fleshy gums are red and swollen from constantly growing new sets of bone. New white bone stabs slowly through meat into a new row. One of thousands. Saliva is strung across the unending rows of teeth. It consumes forever. Always hungry. Always craving. The heat of it is the most unsettling. Alive, unthinking, starving and constantly growing. It must feed.
