Expect sarcasm, it'll save time & avoid unnecessary questions.
If something is illogical, or someone has made an error in their reasoning, I will call them out on it.
If I'm wrong, I'll admit it.
If I think it is funny, I will not explain why.

As elections are popularity contests, populists have an advantage. They offer free sugar, deny the harm their solutions would cause, everything is upside. Why wouldn't ill informed people vote for them?
Now, sensible politicians need to compete, so they also offer sugar, but we need to pay for it.

What? No!
Not real! Trump has never played golf.

It's always impressive to see someone so obviously proud of his achievements that he doesn't want people to see them in action, in detail, as they are being applied, to their everyday purchases.

Life never gets more complicated than when they start enforcing where people can relieve themselves.
Segregation such as this is based on unjustified fear, leads to hate, can result in violence and persecution.
All because some non-trans men are the real threat.

I hope they give Trump a chance to read out his favourite parts of the bible, you know, the ones about winning a golf tournament, getting the highest marks in a cognitive test, having high pressure showers and being treated unfairly by Biden/Obama/Clinton.

The bits about chocolate eggs are his favourite parts of the bible.

For example, he sent a very personal message to his followers to advise them it was a good time to buy, and signed off with DJT. It wasn't immediately clear what needed to be bought, why it was a good time to do so. But an inspiring and uplifting personal message nonetheless.
April 14, 2025 at 6:16 AM
Of course not. We know for a fact that he signs off all his messages 'DJT'. We can look back at all the times he's done that and exclude any that doesn't have his initials as being written by Steven Miller.

Follow the money.
Someone profited from the failed casinos. Who? Why?
Some are profiting from this blatant manipulation of financial markets. Who?
We cannot rely on US agencies to investigate, regulate, enforce or prosecute.
The impact is global, we need international sanctions on those responsible.

If you have a house, and we add a house, what do you have?
Too many houses.

Unfortunately, a single study published in the American Journal of Madinsane has stated this cure causes wartism.

Did he say thank you?
Did he just say thank you once during that meeting?
Did they discuss how many cards he was holding?
At least he wore a suit!
What mineral rights and infrastructure will he be handing over to the US?

Seriously!? He doesn't drink?
What would he be like if he did?

Well, guess what, they are financially incentivised. The policies of the right will harm people economically, harm them socially, harm them in healthcare, risk their liberties and remove their civil and legal protections. They are motivated, thanks to the right.
April 6, 2025 at 9:06 AM
Surely that amount of financial stimulus would be traceable.
The default position of claiming paid political activism speaks to their own methods. They couldn't imagine that level of directed activist action for their policy positions without needing to financially incentivise people...

I've always found it to be a ridiculous concept that businesses would re-direct existing, efficient supply chains from UK-EU to UK-US.
If UK-US was the right choice, the EU would have shifted terms and standards decades ago.
The EU is the dominant economic power, just next door to the UK.

In economic terms, Trump's tariffs have very little to do with economics.
Trade is conducted based on supply & demand, the exchange is goods for currency.
The tariffs are about perceived deficits, which are not due to the trading terms, but that supply & demand.
Trump will undermine the currency!
April 6, 2025 at 8:39 AM
What a genius! He's realised that the economy is not actually made up of lots of small businesses, but a few very large businesses.
Those very large businesses have never, and never will trade any goods or services with a small business.
Praise be! Such great times are ahead!
What a fucking idiot!
April 5, 2025 at 6:08 PM
If our trade deficits with the US are low, how much is that because we don't buy much from there? The UK is a much smaller economy, wouldn't we buy more than we sold if the US was the best source for goods?
If these tariffs increase the $ of UK to US imports, wouldn't that increase the deficit?
