The Atlantic does a lot to promote evil in the world, but honestly they should just be embarrassed that they keep publishing such an intellectual mediocrity as Thomas Chatteron Williams. He really brings banality to the evil.

Not that he didn’t already know, but now Trump knows for sure he can roll the Dems every time and there’s no need to negotiate for anything

Another great essay

“Finally, tolerance is something meant for unjust humans. Tolerance is no virtue when applied to unjust ideas or unjust acts. Against such things there must be no tolerance, if there would be justice.”
This week I dug deep into the Paradox of Tolerance.

We might hope still to build a new house to replace the one abusive bullies are burning down, after centuries of decades of being enabled in the name of civility.

If we do, the new house will need new locks.

Look, I have feelings about Biden deciding to run again & thinking he could govern for four more yrs. But the fact that, in the middle of a turn toward actual fascism, that’s still the focus of our political conversation says everything abt the state of modern journalism. And it ain’t good.

Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

People who are looking for a way to fight Trump, I have it for you in one name: Kilmar Abrego-Garcia.

He's the poor guy who got pulled off the street, declared a gang member for no reason, then sent off to that hell-hole in El Salvador.

Fight for him because this case will unravel everything. 🧵

This makes me so angry. Just an enormous giveaway to corporate interests with no regard for the value of biodiversity and nature. Not to mention the stupidity of enacting a policy like this while the effects of climate change become more and more apparent. 🤬🤬🤬

A hypothetical: Imagine I gathered: 1 1/2 cups flour; 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened; 1 cup granulated sugar; 2 large eggs; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1/2 cup whole milk.

“…the most fundamental truth about Trump’s reelection is that Trump was right about us. He will be president again because he, and perhaps he alone, saw us for how truly base, depraved, and uninformed we are as a country.”
