Tried to buy - attempted to charge £63, seems not to work?
November 30, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Tried to go with the offer, on website says about to be charged £20, on bank site payment is £62.99, so I've rejected the payment 🤷‍♀️.

Is it possible to fix this?

I don't think any sane person will be drinking that water. It's unknown what nuclear contamination really occurred.

And I certainly wouldn't want to touch shellfish that had been anywhere near there.

It's available at the port in Napoli, not sure but I suspect it was invented there.

Four of the sites are Grangemouth.

It's obvious where this is going, Scotland has been used as a dumping ground for decades.

Nuclear weapons, leaks, atomic particles, Anthrax, bombs dumped off the coast, now this.

Scottish people want a green future, and green jobs.
November 18, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Yes and we have the history of Anthrax island and the nuclear mess at Dounreay.

It's a dumping ground here, we'll be told it's "safe" and there will be "lots of jobs", but that's missing the point.

We should decide what industry to have here, giving respect to the unique natural environment.

The BBC in Scotland has suppressed support for independence, which is supported by over 50% of Scots. The achievements of the Scottish government are omitted, ignored or talked down by unionist opposition parties. Many simply switch off because their news and current affairs are so dire!

...when you add the 60% turnout, i e 40% not voting, it's a very small percentage.

That's the company playing the arbitrage game, we have e.g US companies moving globally.

I still think the job market is very distorted in the UK. I don't think anything that enshrines that or encourages it should exist.

I do think for example that the London weighting should be removed.
November 5, 2025 at 8:50 PM
I think that enshrines London being worth more, so justified it getting more money, and becomes self perpetuating.

The investment is needed where wages are less.

It's not a zero sum game, switching off wind turbines in Scotland to burn gas elsewhere hits both the national grid on a net basis, and Scottish consumers in particular.

The net benefits of zonal pricing were rejected because of where it disadvantaged, which are the NIMBY areas for turbines.
November 1, 2025 at 12:21 PM
Yes because zonal pricing was not introduced. If that was implemented this would happen less often and electricity could be free on occasion in the Scottish zone, given the abundance of renewables.

Yes once zonal pricing was rejected it surely changed the economics, wind farms are being switched off. So I'm paying for gas being burned hundreds of miles away and being charged for being 'remote'

Indeed, wind turbines are being switched off to burn gas elsewhere in the system, it's madness.
