Jury summons are going out across the state.

Protect yourself from jury scams! Court staff will never ask for money over the phone or email.
Jury summons were sent to over 9,500 Alaskans for 2026! Q: If I receive a jury summons for 2026, what do I do? A:: Complete your qualifying questionnaire online! Jury summons are sent by email and are followed by a mailed postcard. Contact your local court if you receive a summons and prefer to fill out a paper questionnaire. TrueFiling Update ➜ ➜ ➜
New Update The Alaska Court System in partnership with TrueFiling worked to: -Increase the overall speed of the site when searching for and filing to a case. -Improve and add new features to the Favorites screen. Screen shot of Favorites screen in Truefiling (A) Swap between the “Favorites” and “My Cases” tab. Favorites will show cases you’ve personally favorited with your account while the My Cases tab will show all cases your account is connected to. (B) Use the “Search” functionality to type a part of a case name or case number, then hit enter on the keyboard. Any search results will display. (C) Click “File To Case” from either the “Favorites” or “My Cases” tabs to immediately move to the submit filing screen in TrueFiling, bypassing the case details screen. Bethel jury duty will be different than usual for the first half of 2026. Trial jury service is going to increase from a one month term to a two month term. Grand jury service is going to increase from a one month term to a three month term.

Why?
Bethel Area Jurors Changes for January - June 2026 due to limited housing options for traveling jurors Trial Jury Service 2 months of service (previously 1 month) Grand Jury service 3 months of service (previously 1 month) Only Bethel-based jurors will be called. No jurors will be called from Akiachak, Akiak, Atmautluak, Eek, Kasigluk, Kwethluk, Napakiak, Napaskiak, Nunapitchuk, Oscarville, Tuluksak, or Tuntutuliak. Together with the Kenaitze Indian Tribe we celebrate 8 years of collaboration in operating the Henu Community Wellness Court in Kenai. Henu, meaning "hard work" in Dena'ina, offers a path to healing for adults facing legal trouble due to substance abuse.
