We expanded the garden this weekend. It’s now about 1,200 square feet, or almost as big as my house. I hope my neighbors like zucchini.

I’m such a fabulous gardener. I dug up the chives last fall and was so happy they stayed alive all winter. Added them every so often to scrambled eggs, etc. Yesterday I realized I was nurturing grass. Not chives. No wonder they tasted bland.

The tripod on the Tanana River at Nenana tipped over Saturday evening but Sunday morning it's still in place and clock is running. The tripod must move 100 feet downriver to stop the clock. Past 50 years the median break-up date is April 30. Image courtesy of #NenanaIceClassic. #akwx #Spring2025
