I think it’s too early for the SE hate. We just don’t know and yes there are options other than SE. There is a moralistic part of the fanbase that hates mods, hates venues and would absolutely use a legal process to shut down part of the community they don’t like.

No context, but basically what I did to my players in RP today.
Alaric has a tendency to work in shadows. He does a lot secretly or through agents. He likes that he has a reputation as someone that gets things done and whom it is more trouble than it is worth to cross, but he doesn’t seek the limelight. Those that he cares about being seen to is what matters.
Shal gets flustered by accolades or praise for the things she does. She'd rather not be remembered as some great hero or major influence on society. If anything, she only cares that her clinics and medical assistance are known to be available and by word of mouth.
