British Columbia. I rest my case.
The Cowichan River in British Columbia, a crystal clear freestone River about 40’ wide flowing away to the North through boulders and deciduous trees with spring green leaves lining the bank. A pair of hiking boots stretched out in the foreground on a rocky point looking out past a small navigation light down a wide inland channel from Salt Spring Island. In the foreground, a guide and his (very good looking) young lady client about to release a 36” Bull Trout. Water is flowing out around their legs from a mountain lake in the British Columbia’s Spatsizi Wilderness Area. The whole view is framed in the background by a vast mountain range.

A beautiful day on a beautiful river - The Cowichan on Vancouver Island BC. Pulled in at the guide's home - after a day of dries and nymphing but trout were not very friendly. Water so clear it was easy to see many rainbows moving up stream but not feeding. Best of the day a 20" Brown.
Looking downstream over a long stretch of the Cowichan River on Vancouver Island BC on a bright sunny day. The river, about 60' wide, is flanked on either side by thick lush green forrest. A large boulder sits in the right foreground with a long riffle below that ends against a fallen moss covered Douglas Fir collapsed from right to left into the water . The water is shallow, gin clear, a slightly green tint with every rock on the bottom visible in the sun. It is perfect trout water. Looking down from the bank about 10' above the Cowichan River flowing downstream from lower left to upper right. The river is clear, with shadows on its surface from the sun shining through the forest that lines both side of the river. Pulled up on the bank partially visible through shore brush are the blue pontoons of a raft and leading up the bank are well maintained gravel steps.

I love that river too. This was 2001 and a very good friends first fish on a fly. Went back this summer and it unfortunately has been discovered :(

The places fly fishing takes you, never a bad day.

In the foreground a pair of hiking boots (we fished from the raft and often had to hike), in the background the river in golden hues with the sun setting behind low hills in the distance. A bright blue sky day and in the distance a castle like mountain framed against the sky with trees up its lower slopes. In the middle distance a river filled with white water curves down in a reverse 'S' from the mountain and in the foreground a person seen from behind, dwarfed by the scene, at the beginning of a path down to the water gazing at river with binoculars.
