A beautiful day on a beautiful river - The Cowichan on Vancouver Island BC. Pulled in at the guide's home - after a day of dries and nymphing but trout were not very friendly. Water so clear it was easy to see many rainbows moving up stream but not feeding. Best of the day a 20" Brown.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau:

"Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada - their closest partner and ally, their closest friend. At the same time, they're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin - a lying murderous dictator. Make that makes sense."

You are never alone, dear President Zelenskyy.

We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.

And that was before the Finance Minister resigned, terming the PM's economic policies "costly political gimmicks...which make Canadians doubt we recognize the gravity of the moment".

Untangling fly line can be strangely satisfying ~ the winter version is untangling strings of those thinly wired, microdot Christmas lights :)

Didn't see an "Alt" option for my previous post so here it goes anyway. The image is a medium close-up of a large Orca, swimming on the surface carrying a small salmon on it's back just behind it's blow hole.
And if anyone can tell me how I should have done this please let me know :)

About more than fishing, from Cormac McCarthy: “Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional...

Read this thread for a sobering BloombergNEF stocktaking on the state of global competitiveness for investment in hydrogen projects and technologies. An important moment for policymakers to evaluate whether the array of policy tools are properly aligned to encourage the most promising developments.
BloombergNEF hosted a #hydrogen roundtable yesterday in #Brussels. The discussion focused on the state of the industry and the competitiveness of US and European electrolyzer manufacturing. Some takeaways below:
