I agree and the Greens are now in the strongest position to ensure that accountability. This is why they need to act seriously and leave the cheap political point scoring to the irrelevant LNP.

The PRC is normalizing the situation with Taiwan. However, every attempt is thwarted by the US. China has conducted military exercises in the Strait for decades & is almost entirely directed at the US not Taiwan. China’s message is not “we’ll take Taiwan by force”. It’s “US stay out of our affairs”.

The idea that China would invade Taiwan without provocation is ludicrous & fundamentally misunderstands China’s reunification goals. The primary of which, is “peaceful”. Taking Taiwan unilaterally by force would defeat that purpose & seriously threaten the legitimacy & stability of the CCP.
