now that I'm writing it, however, I realise that it was more important to ground that "big" event analysis with wider contemporary sources, such as the files I chose to skip to save time, to demonstrate the impact. In fact, the certainty of my sources from the 2000s should have been expected

I thought I was making the correct decision when I chose to skip some files on the Pride March in London between 1994-2000 because I had my "big" event that I was going to base my analysis on the mid-1990s around, and needed more on the mid-2000s and 2010s...

Super sorry, I got absorbed in getting this chapter draft ready for submission!! But I am definitely appreciating this journey. I don't think I'll ever tire of looking back at my work and seeing how much I have grown and how that journey has changed me for the better!

There is a precedent for combining the gender markers and the wheelchair user symbol in queer symbolism, so I thought I'd found another example of this. The left from the Gay News coverage of the 1987 march, the right from an advertisement featured in the 1980 Pride programme.

in my defense, the image was fairly low resolution and one of the Mars symbols is white and didn't show up as well alongside the black Mars symbol in the lower resolution photograph so my eyes did not register the white Mars symbol...
