Forest was lovely, and a twee suite from The Snowman aside, showing more ambitious playing & writing plus some good cover choices. Now for Plains, and at 72 minutes the CD bloat era is in full swing; George still sounds great though

Oooft what a collection. I used to pick up dozens of second hand Thomsuns and 747s in the 90s because it was the cheapest way of getting hold of older albums. 747s would *often* have the wrong album dubbed on to them, with the extra fun of trying to work out pre-internet what the mystery album was

Mr Tayto should be M, and George should be Q - the plot is that the man from Del Monte wants to create a global agrarian dictatorship based solely on harvesting oranges

Wouldn't mind grabbing all three of those compilations just to have them, the running orders really zing and someone at Hallmark clearly loved the Super Trouper album

Summer Night City, Eagle, Day Before You Came, Ring Ring - it's like a dry run for More ABBA Gold and I love it; and both sides of such an obscure single as Happy New Year/Andante Andante is wonderful

Does remembering John Majors posts and various mascots that fuck and Mr Pastry's failed bit to model The Doctor in his own image count as posting about history

I did, I love it - so well executed, with that nice fat Buchla sound on the Gymnopedies.
Only just got hold of this one from a Discogs Windham Hill order - pretty cool that Satie was their first ever piano album. Same studio where Winston would record Autumn a year later.

Haven't listened to this one in ages. Varsano's Gymnopedies are really good - on the measured side of brisk tempo, never feel hurried

[watching you and/or Ross performing spoken word/poetry] more like performative poetry, there are not enough red flags for these men and we should pre-emptively arrest them

That was good: looked fantastic, maybe a bit too drawn out in length but you could tell what a labour of love it was for Del Toro

YES! And also in Starter For Ten where Alice Eve is meant to be the hot one who James McAvoy is tempted away by, like what was he thinking
