While cues like voice, size, mannerisms, energy, etc. can be triggering, they are not the only parts of what makes one feel. It's not the same for everyone, but for many victims psychological safety is about minimising possibility of assault and reducing uncertainty in their environments.

You are right that things directly connected to the assault are much more viscerally triggering than others. I’m really sorry that happened to you, and I know it’s not easy to talk about.

It's not that people imagine what's in the pants of other people and feel threatened by that. I highly doubt any victim would do that with any person. It can be a lot more other things that cause people to feel unsafe. I won't be the best at explaining this but I will give it a try.

It may seem irrational to avoid being exposed to so many other people who are likely harmless, but from a victim's perspective, even if the chances that a particular person will assault them are very low, the event would be deeply triggering, so they want to do all they possibly can to feel safe.

It's better to be more accommodating to a victim's need for psychological safety. Sexual forms of violence feel much more psychologically invasive to your autonomy and dignity than any other form of violence. It is a uniquely traumatic crime in many manners.

... with trans women or trans men either even if the crime wasn't committed by a trans person. Even sexuality is inherently a part of sexual assault, so I wouldn't be surprised if the assaulted person didn't feel safe with lesbian or bisexual women either.

I agree, almost all sexual violence is comitted by cis men against women (both cis and trans). Both gender and biological sex is inherently a part of sexual assault in a way no other trait is related to any other crime. I think it is understandable if a person assaulted by a cis man doesn’t feel...

Gender/sex is inherently a part of sexual assault in a way other traits aren't. People should be able to preferentially be not exposed to the gender/sex of the person they were assaulted by untill they have recovered enough when possible. I think it's kinder and more empathetic.

I don't think that pronatalism is a slippery slope to "women should make babies". If women had the number of children they ideally want, no country would have any issues with TFR, so pronatalism is really about making the changes that help women (and men) have their desired no. of kids.

When people see that a country's population can be halved in the upcoming decades, its worrying for people who value human life as in their view these are people who would have otherwise have had happy lifes. The issue is that current fertility rates are below what people say they ideally want.

Did you see the new Kurzegesagt video about South Korea's upcoming economic, military, social and cultural collapse due to TFR decline? It looked pretty convincing to me even though I believe they didn't account enough for the upcoming AI revolution and automation.

He used to understand empathy, and how it's not something emotionally weak but the opposite. Then he regressed again and now believes that it is leading to the destruction of western civilisation.

Maybe this is why he is trying to do things "correctly" with X, especially since Vivian didn't turn out how he wanted. But its so paradoxical that he abandoned his children with St. Clair if he did change his mind.

It's surprising that he doesn't spend any time with his children given he thinks this. Perhaps he believes that genetics conquer, but surely he recognises the role played by upbringing too given that he built a specialized school for his kids?

They don't want them to recognize Russia's internationally recognized birders, they want Ukraine to recognize Russia's claimed borders so they can push the current boundaries of international recognition.

How did this never encounter any resistance from all the normal people he knows? I doubt that any of his mon, brother, the other mothers of his children like Shivon, his friends, business partners or employees believe in this even if they want to have many genetically superior children for humanity.

I wonder how he reached this particular line of belief. Drug induced craziness is partly responsible, and perhaps social media too (though I have never heard other people encouraging building a "legion" of children however pro natalist or male supremacist they are).

My ideal city plan involves two types of superblocks (say 3-5 normal city blocks on each axis) - car-free and car-separated. Both share in common that there's adequate parking and good road conditions at the periphery - so you can get *to or from* them with ease - but from there it's on foot / bike.
