I'm not one to ask about the technical side of things, so I could be entirely wrong, but when I was looking to swap out FF earlier this year what I read implied that the manifest v3 extension platform meant ublock origin would no longer function on Chrome, and this is what Vivaldi uses also

ublock origin isn't supported by vivaldi. the browser is based on chromium and uses the same extension platform as google chrome
