"Real peace isn't just the absence of conflict. It's the presence of justice."

President James Marshall - Air Force One
She's recently leaned more into the Socialist end of the National Socialist spectrum, but nevertheless, a spectrum she's still on.

I think she fancies she sees the way the wind is blowing. In that, at least, she may be right.

Someone has to lead MAGA after he's gone. She wants it to be her.

Spurs has changed. What's Frank doing?

It was always smart of the Nats not to point, as many nationalists do, to a halcyon, mythical past, but rather, imagine a halcyon, mythical future.

Continue to dream Maureen. But remember, that's all it is.

Roland Freisler was the Nazi Judge who basically sentenced anyone and everyone to death on the Party's orders. It wasn't enough to have them killed. He wanted to humiliate and degrade them first.

He died when a building fell on his head in 1945. I think that's called tough love.

To be fair, a power outage mid-chorus might have led some people to assume Ian Brown was an Ok live singer.

He should have been quite pleased really.

Corbyn has had a tough couple of years.

But I'm sure he'll pull through.
November 19, 2025 at 9:55 PM
He's an utter tw@t.

I've only actively campaigned, both times for Labour, twice in my life.

The first time was when Nick Griffin, the head of the BNP was campaigning to be my MP. The second time was for a friend. She's now an MP.

Reform have to be stopped.

I hadn't realised I'd done that.

I assumed you'd laugh and say 'I'm not cooking the noodles for 3 hours!! They've gone in at the end. Obviously, silly!'

Enjoy your meal!
November 18, 2025 at 7:26 PM
That's wonderful and I share your joy!

But... wouldn't those noodles be a little overcooked?

Maybe even totally zapped? 😆

The shutdown was hurting Americans. People would have gone hungry, choosing between heating their homes and eating a square meal. Flights were in chaos.

The GOP weren't going to back down on ACA costs. The Dems HAVE won the shutdown. Epstein back in the news. And the GOP will reap the hikes.

I cancelled.

Entirely correct in the context of Musk himself.

He's a slug.

I myself provide acclaim for my favourite team on a regular basis. A wonderfully cool dissection of my obsession's complete pointlessness.

Of course to any sports fan, it matters so much because it doesn't really matter at all.

She did Robert, but Jesus is crying.

He doesn't have much on at the moment, so was giving this his special attention.

And now, he sobs.
November 11, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Oh what bullshit.
November 10, 2025 at 8:37 PM
It's easy for me to say this because I'm don't live in the US, but, from an outsiders perspective, letting the GOP run with this policy - allowing the ACA tax credits to lapse - effectively kills them doesn't it?
November 10, 2025 at 1:05 PM
I said in a post somewhere that maybe the GOP were taking heat for the shutdown (they were), but they'll definitely be taking a blowtorch when health premiums go up.
November 10, 2025 at 12:59 PM
He didn't.

I'm not saying he's not low energy or broadly ineffective, because he is.

But he's not stupid.
November 10, 2025 at 11:20 AM
I doubt it.

Look, it's bad enough as it is. He provided young, working class women to his 'friends' and the girls were expected to sleep with them. He possibly secretly filmed it so that he could use it if he ever needed to, but never did.

I think the rest is rubbish. Happy to take a bet.
November 10, 2025 at 11:17 AM
My worry is that, if we build this up, and it turns out to basically what we already know, it'll turn into another Mueller report.

And we should remember how that turned out.

Bondi is even more craven than Barr and it will be spun into nothing.

Schumer opposed this deal.

Schumer opposed this deal.
November 10, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Indeed. Tonnesen, a Norwegian philosopher, is famed for saying that thinking about anything but death is an evasion.

Um... I'm thinking that's just a bit too ahead of the curve, wouldn't you say?
November 10, 2025 at 10:59 AM
My suggestion is, take your head out of your ass and start using it to think with.

Honestly, it'll really help.
November 10, 2025 at 9:30 AM
No he didn't. He opposed this.

His deal would have prevented health costs going up for a year and then would have allowed the mid-terms to be fought on the issue.

He knew the GOP would reject it, and made it look like the Dems were the only party serious about re-starting government.

Oh dear.
November 10, 2025 at 9:28 AM
I see knives out for Schumer, but he opposed this deal.

The GOP were taking all the heat for the shutdown so this was, on one level, an astonishing concession.

But, if we're going to be cynical about it, the increase in health costs will not cause heat for the GOP.

It'll be a blowtorch.
