I said I thought it would be fun, but also I thought about who is represented in course material and who is not, and I wanted Latine students to feel like they had a place to belong.

Today was the first day of classes for Tuesday and Thursday courses. The last student was about to leave my Latine Music and Superstardom class when she asked me what made me want to teach this class.
