The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

survey.gendercensus.com

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.

Here's how the real two-tier Britain works:
1. Whatever Nigel Farage says, however stupid, is looped and discussed by the media, while left-wing voices are treated as noises off.
2. Tiny far-right protests get massive airtime, while 10s of 000s gathering for Palestine or green causes are ignored.🧵

We don't post here half as much as we maybe should. But we just planned a load of community events over on our Discord server so thought we'd shout that out for anyone looking for an excuse to connect! We've got games nights, book readings, writing workshops, we're really trying stuff out.

Only a bit late given when the build was done, but Alexis finally wrote up their huge PC build into a blog post. For any of you curious about what silly PC the Payne Houshold has at its heart, here it is.
Pantheon 2.1 Retrospective — AksanDotDev
Okay, 9 months over due, way too long and rambling, and very self-indulgent, but here is, finally, the build log, retrospective, narativised account, whatever you want to call it, for Pantheon 2.1. Or...

Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

Yes. In a sane media environment, the bathroom ban would be the end of anyone treating 'gender critical feminists' as anything other than a hate group. It's a straightforwardly bigoted policy that imposes an insane 'solution' to a nonexistent problem.

Another month, another protest, another poem.

It is tiring living with a media that will celebrate the slow erasure of your rights and both side your extinction.

"to democratize art is not every person having a cute drawing made in seconds, to democratize art is every person having time and health to learn and make art if they chose to, and mainly to have the means to think and relate introspectively with art."

I am back! Well, I was never here, but I was there, and I'm not going to be there again, too many mean people. I was nowhere for a while, now I'm here. So, that's like being back? @aksan.dev are looking at me and shaking their head.

We genuinely believe that most people that see Alexis must just believe that big patch on their jacket is declaring their appreciation of that well known band the 'They/Them'.

Alexis is fairly openly trans but we don't talk about the practicalities much. Well, today is day zero of hacking their endocrine system. Are we too late for the new year, new you trend?

Lovely art from @furlana.bsky.social a treat from an ongoing project, with poetry from Charly.

I cannot put my shoulder down and push,
Nor grab a mic and issue rallying cry,
The wide world does not bend to my will.
But I can lean close to one,
Whispers stories in their ear,
And so change my world.

Back home from Exmoor and everything is right in the house. A few days more rest as we try to uncoil our stress and then hopefully a return to the PhD. We'd say the writing projects but if we're unwinding then we're sneaking back to those as soon as our energy levels allow.

We have arrived upon our walking holiday and discovered we are outliers age-wise by about three decades from the rest. But everyone has been lovely and welcoming and we look forward to getting to know folks on the walks. Here's to the break that our mental health desperately needed.

We're away from life at the moment, taking some much needed rest time against burn out. But we just wanted to say that even in the face of a hostile world we fully intend to remain openly queer and keep writing about a world with trans gods and poly dragons, and bursting with diversity.

An intro to the writing side of what we, Alexis and Charly, do.

It's on a form of soft hiatus lately as Alexis PhD, mental health, and low key transition have been eating our time and energy, but it is our passion.

Here expect mental health blogging, computer vision research and video games.
As we are starting out here, we figured we'd introduce people to #TeryteChronicles anew, and what better way to do that than with some gorgeous art from @furlana.bsky.social that captures so well the sense of scale and of integration that defines contemporary Teryte.

Short thread to follow.
