Dad, Tinkerer, Dish Wrangler.

let’s be honest, we’ve got bike posts and the occasional cat pic here.
Technically allowed! It’s what we like to call a “door zone bike lane” around here, parked cars on the right and a single line to separate you from traffic on the left. Been getting worse and worse as cars get wider

Gotta register with the NHTSA, and comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, which are a whole thing. Also require a Motorcycle license to operate in some states (including CA)

That review really makes it sound like they built a nice electric moped with pedals so they don’t have to do all the hard regulatory work that comes with a moped.

And pretty expensive!

As someone who lives in an area with very little bike infrastructure, and has to vehicular cycle, 20 feels about right. When I’m riding on a bike path or MUP, 15-16 is much better.

I really wish we could get traction on 2.

I tacked an extra 10 miles onto my commute this morning out of sheer bike joy, I wish I could share some with you

I’m pretty sure the wheels on the road bike cost more than the entirety of the mountain bike 🙈

food for my 1,000 kilocalories ranges between:
36,440 gCO2e for beef
6,170 gCO2e for cheese
630 gCO2e for potatoes

really goes to show how much diet feeds into emissions, and just how gatdang efficient e-bikes are when combined with a grid that has a ton of renewables
