The ice has melted at Tyhee Lake Provincial Park which means I can get the kayak out 🚣♂️ Got to see a Belted Kingfisher and Common Loon on the water too 🪶🐦 heard Sandhill Cranes too, but couldn't spot them 🤷

I've started taking walks during my lunch hour in Willowvale Marsh. I'm happy to see Red-winged Blackbirds and Song Sparrows have both returned to Smithers 🪶🐦
I also encountered a pair of Moose on the trail today, one of which looks like he's had a rough winter, is this the Winter Tick? 🕷️

Work sent me to the Fulton River Spawning Channel for a few days, which meant I got to see lots of DUCKS 🦆 including a pair of Common Goldeneye and a pair of Barrow's Goldeneye 🪶🐦 #TopleyLanding #Granisle #BabineLake
