I moved last week, then immediately got COVID-19 (second time) 🤒 But it's given me a lot of time to watch my bird feeders at the new house 🪶🐦 and the birds found my feeders fast! #Smithers

The ice has melted at Tyhee Lake Provincial Park which means I can get the kayak out 🚣‍♂️ Got to see a Belted Kingfisher and Common Loon on the water too 🪶🐦 heard Sandhill Cranes too, but couldn't spot them 🤷

I've started taking walks during my lunch hour in Willowvale Marsh. I'm happy to see Red-winged Blackbirds and Song Sparrows have both returned to Smithers 🪶🐦

I also encountered a pair of Moose on the trail today, one of which looks like he's had a rough winter, is this the Winter Tick? 🕷️

The diversity of birds that visit my bird feeder all winter has remained pretty constant, so it was a big surprise when I spotted a Red-breasted Nuthatch on March 15 🐦🪶 #Smithers

I was doing some winter maintenance out at the Babine River counting fence and was surprised to see lots of bird activity. I think the drought and warm weather has the birds confused 🪶🐦🦆🦢
