The ice has melted at Tyhee Lake Provincial Park which means I can get the kayak out πŸš£β€β™‚οΈ Got to see a Belted Kingfisher and Common Loon on the water too πŸͺΆπŸ¦ heard Sandhill Cranes too, but couldn't spot them 🀷

I almost treat it like a bear, back up and put a lot of space between us. These Moose didn't seem to care I was there 🀷

I've started taking walks during my lunch hour in Willowvale Marsh. I'm happy to see Red-winged Blackbirds and Song Sparrows have both returned to Smithers πŸͺΆπŸ¦

I also encountered a pair of Moose on the trail today, one of which looks like he's had a rough winter, is this the Winter Tick? πŸ•·οΈ

Work sent me to the Fulton River Spawning Channel for a few days, which meant I got to see lots of DUCKS πŸ¦† including a pair of Common Goldeneye and a pair of Barrow's Goldeneye πŸͺΆπŸ¦ #TopleyLanding #Granisle #BabineLake

The diversity of birds that visit my bird feeder all winter has remained pretty constant, so it was a big surprise when I spotted a Red-breasted Nuthatch on March 15 🐦πŸͺΆ #Smithers
