It’s really amazing how much of a cesspool Threads is (and I assume X is even worse). FWIW moderation works well here on @bsky.app . It also seems less of a draw for bad actors who use fake accounts to sow discord and destabilize societies or perpetrate scams.

I actually find it really funny when products are labeled "edamame" instead of "soybeans" or "cilantro" instead of "coriander leaves." They're trying to make something exotic out of something pretty plain and ordinary by using a foreign name for something that already has a common English name.
