Going through my dad’s things, I discovered this ribbon. My Grandma won this from the Boone Elementary PTA for her Victory Garden during WWII. For me, it’s a reminder that gardening builds community, nourishes our bodies and allows us to support our family and neighbors in the simpliest way.
