This is must read with a data deep dive on what voters (and more critically) NON-voters think of MAGA. Nearly 1/3 of ppl who didn't vote in Nov. were "not sure" when asked whether Trump was liberal or conservative. But they overwhelmingly oppose MAGA policies. www.weekendreading.net/p/the-re-eme...
The Re-Emerging Anti-MAGA Majority
If voters had known in November what they know now—which could and should have been possible—Trump would have lost.

This is an incredibly important thread and post, and another big datapoint for the theory that misunderstanding and misuse of public opinion is part of why Dems keep getting stuck in the ditch.
During the 2024 campaign, Trump and his MAGA allies did not hide their intentions towards immigrants like Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

But media, pollsters, and consultants did—minimizing or outright ignoring Trump's explicit threats in an effort to avoid accusations of bias, partisanship, or alarmism.

Some perspective: Thousands have lost their jobs, & critial services have been cut to "save" what would be pocket change to the man making the cuts. Elon could personally pay for all D.O.G.E. did and still be the richest man in the world. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/24/u...

Some important context for understanding, and resisting, the accelerating MAGA assault on our freedoms: It actually echoes a similar backlash from a bit more than a century ago.

Oligarchs like Elon Musk know politics is about power.

They also know that unions build the kind of real democratic power—for all of us, not just union members—that keeps oligarchs in check.

Will we reclaim that power?
